All eyes were on the dugout at St Andrews last night as we got a glimpse of another Chelsea manager during Roman Abramovich’s tenure with Roberto Di Matteo turning up in a snazzy suit.
The Chelsea fans were also in good voice as they watched their side ease to a 2-0 victory over Birmingham and they made their voices felt in what could be the long running saga of who will be the next permanent manager at Stamford Bridge.
There is no doubting who they want to see as manager again next season, with chants for Jose Mourinho to return back to West London.
And Blues fans also made it clear who they don’t want Roman Abramovich to appoint, with plenty of vitriol for Rafa Benitez. The Spaniard may well be the first coach to be abused in the manner for simply being linked with a club.
And, finally whilst the big names such as Pep Guardiola, Mourinho and Sven are being linked, can we really rule Roberto Di Matteo out the running.
