Chelsea are very close to signing highly-rated Augsburg left-back Baba Rahman.
The 21-year-old Ghanaian was one of the breakout stars of the last Bundesliga campaign and it led the Blues to earmark him as one for the future.
Now, according to Di Marzio, Chelsea are very close to getting their man.
After escorting Filipe Luis off the premises at Stamford Bridge, the Premier League champions have convinced Rahman to ply his trade in England.
Not that he would have needed much convincing to sign a five-year contract worth €2 million annually. The only hurdle left is negotiating a fee with Augsburg.
Naturally they want to get a good offer for their prized asset.
Chelsea want them to sell for €20m but Augsburg don’t want to let Rahman leave for any less than €32m. They only bought the defender last season.
He was signed from Greuther Furth for €2.5m so Augsburg are going to make a huge profit.
