Fans in Brazil were treated to a special exhibition match this week as the buck-toothed wonder Ronaldinho lead a select XI to face a Bahia Combined XI in an effort to raise money for children in need in the area.
The “Friends of Ronaldinho ” ran out 6-3 winners with Palmerias striker Vagner Love claiming a hat-trick while Sao Paulo forward Washington chipped in with a brace. Ronaldinho claimed his side’s sixth from the penalty spot.
Aside from the main show, the big talking point of the night was the cameo appearance of legendary Samba striker Romario’s son, Romarinho. Romarinho replaced Ronaldinho five minutes from time, with the crowd heard chanting for national coach Dunga to recall Dinho to the Brazil squad.
