Both El Mundo Deportivo and Sport are in full agreement today, Cesc Fabregas has no interest in leaving Barcelona and will not be moving to Manchester United despite David Moyes launching at least two bids for the midfielder.
According to Sport, Fabregas gave his word to former Barcelona coach Tito Vilanova and is keen to start work with Gerardo Martino when the Confederations Cup players return to training today.
Fabregas has instructed his agent Darren Dein that he is not interested in a move to Old Trafford and refuses to even sit and hear the offer from Manchester United.
Sport add that Manchester United have attempted to use the British media to destabilise Cesc at the Nou Camp but the former Arsenal captain is not willing to even countenance a move.
El Mundo Deportivo rubbish the report that was in the Sunday Express yesterday, claiming a “secret meeting” between Dein and Manchester United chief executive Ed Woodward.
They put it down to either a “journalists mistake” or Manchester United’s attempt to destabilise the player. Barcelona checked with Cesc and his agent on Sunday and the Spanish midfielder remains committed to his boyhood club.
