CCTV catches Vinnie Jones fighting in a South Dakota bar

Vinnie Jones is in serious trouble with the American law, after being caught on CCTV brawling in a pub, with the ex-footballer caught clearly on camera throwing punches.

The incident took place in the brilliantly named Wiley’s Tavern in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, a place which evokes images of a quiet sleepy pub in the middle of an old fashioned neighbourhood. But it was anything but as Jones showed that he is still able to tough it out, giving as good as he got in a fight with 26-stone Juan Barrera.

The footage starts looking down a corridor, with Barrera walking away from the camera towards the door at the top of the picture. Jones, with blood on his face, enters with a couple of guys behind him, before launching fist first at his target and landing with a punch. Jones’ victim, dazed, managed to regain composure, using his size to throw the movie star to the floor. The goons then threw Barrera out the door, with Jones seen stumbling to his feet with blood down his face.

According to reports, the incident flared after Barrera and his friends were playing pool when Jones approached and asked to play. The group told Jones he would have to wait, with one of the party asking whether Jones was “that guy from X-Men.” Barrera claimed: “He got offended by that. He said he’s been in so many other movies or whatever.” Jones was then attacked with a glass, before taking out his agression on Barrera.

The result was the assault in the corridor.
