Brendan Rodgers looks more relaxed with every passing game; there is no sense of the pressure getting to the Liverpool manager as the title race enters squeaky bum time.
Rodgers, as ever, held the press in thrall during his pre-Man City presser, the game that could potentially decide the destination of the title; Rodgers rattling off sounbites about how proud he is to be part of ‘one of the greatest institutions in world football’.
The Northern Irishman then went into full Shankly mode, saying they’re going to ‘unleash the Anfield support upon Man City on Sunday’, and alluding to the sense of nostalgia he feels, of feeling the spirit of the Liverpool of Old around the place.
On Hillsborough, Rodgers showed how much Liverpool Football Club has consumed him, solemnly saying that ‘as manager, you carry Hillsborough and the 96 victims with you every day’.
