Brendan Rodgers: “1 or 2 still to come in” & confirms new Coutinho deal

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers did not seem too disappointed to lose the International Champions Cup final to Manchester United in Miami.

Despite taking the lead through a Steven Gerrard penalty, Manchester United ran out comfortable winners thanks to goals from Wayne Rooney, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard.

Nevertheless, Rodgers was upbeat in his post-match press conference and lauded the display of Raheem Sterling when pressed on the England midfielder.

The Liverpool manager also confirmed that there will be “1 or 2 still to come in” as reports in both Spain and England confirm that Javier Manquillo and Alberto Moreno are close to signing on at Anfield.

Finally, towards the end of the video above, Rodgers confirms that Philippe Coutinho is close to signing a new contract at Liverpool following some excellent performances since joining from Inter Milan.
