Bolton Wanderers are a club in turmoil and are set to play in League One next season after being set adrift at the bottom of the Championship.
The club today confirmed disciplinary action had been taken against Liam Trotter and David Wheater for an offensive gesture they produced on the club’s pre-match Periscope away at Brentford last night.
Having struggled to pay players wages this season, Bolton Wanderers confirmed “The pair will be fined, disciplined and warned as to their future conduct“.

Rooted to the bottom of the table, Bolton extended their winless streak to 10 at Griffin Park last night by losing 3-1 to Brentford.
Bolton’s season can be compared to that of Aston Villa’s in the Premier League. It was only in 2008 that they knocked Atletico Madrid out of the UEFA Cup.
