Louis van Gaal may have his critics at Manchester United, but with a well drilled defence under the Dutchman, it is rare to see the side from Old Trafford concede two goals from set pieces.
Surprisingly, this was the case on Saturday as Manchester United lost 2-1 at Bournemouth.
Junior Stanislas had given Bournemouth the lead straight from a corner kick, early on against United.
Marouane Fellaini equalised before half-time but Joshua King scored against his former club to win the Premier League encounter on 54 minutes.
Whilst Matt Ritchie bagged the assist for Bournemouth, a glance at the video below shows that Andrew Surman played a key role.
As the corner was played in, Daley Blind was marking Josh King.
The Bournemouth attacker moves into the centre of the area, and Blind is blocked off by Surman.
Allowing King a free run onto Ritchie’s low cross to make it 2-1…
Kudos to Eddie Howe and his coaching staff for this one…
