Benoit Assou-Ekotto congratulates Spurs and Emmanuel Adebayor and criticises AVB too in tweet

Benoit Assou-Ekotto congratulated his mate and Spurs goalscorer Emmanuel Adebayor for his performance in Spurs’ 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

BAE also couldn’t resist a dig at former manager Andre Villas-Boas while praising new manager Tim Sherwood.

BAE criticised the Portuguese tactician for his continued treatment of Emmanuel Adebayor.

The former Spurs wing-back was shipped out on loan to QPR by AVB, and it seems that he hasn’t forgiven him for that either.

Club captain Michael Dawson praised the team in his post-match interview and hinted that the team were enjoying working under new manager Tim Sherwood.

Sherwood has started playing with two strikers up front and Dawson said that the players are enjoying being on the front foot.
