After their Carling Cup victory, MUTV managed to follow the victorious United team back into their dressing room with cameras capturing the boy’s post match celebrations live on film.
With the players visibly shattered, it took a few moments for things to get going. Darron Gibson was the first to make a dummy out of himself as he screwed up trying to catch a cold Carling, with the beer can falling painfully on the youngsters’ foot. And also playing up to the sponsors was Jonny Evans, who was seen necking a cold one as his teammates slowly filtered back into the changing room.
Now, you may have expected that the young players in the United squad would be the ones to play up to the stereotypical footballer celebrations. But it was left to the senior squad members, particularly Ryan Giggs, to get the party going as the Welshman took his time undressing a bottle of champers before shaking it up and kicking-off the obligatory champagne fight. Ben Foster followed Giggs’ lead, with John O’Shea also looking to get in on the act.
