German World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger played a key role in Manchester United’s opener against Liverpool on Saturday in the Premier League.

After a pretty awful first half, Man United broke the deadlock within minutes of the restart with a goal that seemed to have been played out on the training pitches at Carrington.

Interestingly, the subject on Man United’s training regime was recently in the news, after it was reported that some senior players had spoken out about Louis van Gaal’s methods.

Be that as it may, Schweinsteiger showed off his football nous in a sneaky blocking role for Daley Blind’s goal.

The 31-year-old German opened up a gaping space for Blind to take aim from, was Schweinsteiger blocked off his covering Liverpool defender as Juan Mata prepared to take the free-kick.
