Bastian Schweinsteiger will come good at Man United, claims Jogi Low [Bild]

German daily Bild today carry quotes from Nationelf boss Jogi Low about Bastian Schweinsteiger.

It;s been a rough week for the World Cup winner as Man United crashed out of the Champions League.

Schweinsteiger was subbed during the defeat at Wolfsburg, and he’s been criticised as being a quarter of the player he used to be.

Earlier this week Louis van Gaal admitted he is unhappy with the Schweinsteiger’s form since he’s arrived at Old Trafford in the summer. He said:

Until now we haven’t seen the best of Schweinsteiger, the player I saw at Bayern Munich. I believe that in every match we have played he could have played better.

The comments were eye-catching, particularly as Schweinsteiger has been an almost ever-present in Red Devils’ engine room since his £6.5 million transfer from Bayern.

Bild have since carried quotes from Karl-Heinz Rummenigge in which the Bayern supremo has hit back at Van Gaal. He said:

I am a bit disappointed by Louis (van Gaal). He should leave Bastian alone. He wanted him very badly.

Bastian takes a bit of time (to get going). One should not pass judgment on him right now.

Louis is known for not being the most likeable person.

Now Jogi Low has added his support behind his midfielder too. Speaking with Bild today, Low remarked:

We know what we have in Bastian. He is still a world-class player and undisputed as our captain.

Even an experienced player like him needs time to get used to a new league. I’m sure Bastian Schweinsteiger will still have a lot of fun at Manchester United.
