The footage actually comes from last weekend’s football in the Israeli Ligat ha’Al, but it’s so good we simply couldn’t ignore it a week on.
Hapoel Be’er Sheva thumped fellow top-flight opponents Maccabi Netanya 4-nil last weekend in a match that home captain Maor Melikson stoke all the plaudits. Despite not getting on the scoresheet himself, Melikson was the architect of Netanya’s downfall with three assists, yet one was much more special than the others.
Already leading 2-nil in the 84th minute, Maor Melikson decided to pull out an incredible showboat as the number 24 set up striker Barak Badash with a 20-yard rabona through-ball which he released from inside his own half.
Undoubtedly the assist of the week, Maor Melikson’s brilliant rabona pass can be seen here.
Fast forwarding to Sunday night, on loan Manchester City star Robinho entertained the crowd for Santos against Santo Andre with a tidy chapela skill near the centre-circle.
Robinho’s skill can be seen here.
