Roma mark Francesco Totti’s 20-year Serie A anniversary with guard of honour & fireworks
- Updated: March 28, 2013
March 28th is a special day for Francesco Totti.
20-years-ago today, Totti made his Serie A debut for Roma as he came off the bench against Brescia back in 1993.
527 games later, with 226 goals in the bank, today Totti is the talisman for AS Roma, and thus the club went slightly over-the-top in making sure their captain’s anniversary was a special day.
Accordingly the Giallorossi’s training day was held up as all the Roma club officials waited in the sun as Totti emerged for training.
As Totti ran out, all the suited officials clapped their club captain, before fireworks were set off in the distance. Totti proceded to shake everybody’s hand as the Roman legend milked the moment for all it’s worth.
