There were deplorable scenes at the match between Zenit St Petersburg and Dinamo Moscow on Sunday.
The match was a virtual title decider for Andre Villas-Boas’ Zenit, with the hosts knowing the a win would almost guarantee them the league title this season.
Instead Zenit choked in a big way, and with less than seven minutes left on the clock and trailing 4-2, the home fans stormed the pitch in anger.
As the Zenit fans rioted, players Danny and Solomon Rondon was caught in their own tussle on the pitch.
The referee had little choice but to haul the players into the dressing room as the match was abandoned.
