The pre Arsenal-Bayern Munich press conference on Monday afternoon looks to have ratcheted up the pressure on Arsene Wenger with the long term Gunners boss producing perhaps his most angry performance since taking over at the club in 1996.
Wenger was already prickly following the defeat to Blackburn in the FA Cup on Saturday and a report in The Sun this morning, suggesting he was being offered a new two-year deal at the Emirates really seemed to send him over the edge.
The anger flows from 2.30 on the video below, as Wenger denies he has been offered a new Arsenal deal “it is wrong information, comes from nowhere and it’s completely wrong.”
Other highlights from the press conference (not on the video below) included a couple of lines Wenger aimed at his critics:
“We live in a democracy of experts & opinions … there are a lot of experts who are not exactly right.”
“I have been accused of not taking the FA Cup seriously. I won it 4 times. Who has won it more? Give me a name.”

Will it galvanise the Arsenal side for the visit of the runaway Bundesliga leaders?
