A report in the Daily Telegraph today claims Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata “remains Arsenal’s top January target.”
According to well connected scribe Jeremy Wilson: “Arsenal have not completely given up hope of signing Álvaro Morata next month, despite Real Madrid insisting that there will be no mid-season departures either on loan or permanently.”
Arsenal have relied heavily on Olivier Giroud this season and Arsene Wenger is expected to bring in supplementary fire power to assist the likes of Nicklas Bendtner and Lukas Podolski.
On Monday evening, Arsenal target Alvaro Morata, the top scorer at last summer’s Under-21 European Championships, scored a quality back post bicycle kick in a charity match at the Bernabeu. See video above.
Morata undoubtedly has the finishing skills to be a success in the Premier League but it may take him a few games to get used to the intensity of English football.
The Spanish striker has of course played with Mesut Ozil before which should help…
