Nowadays us supporters are extremely quick to turn on one of our players after a poor display, by deeming them not good enough to wear the jersey, only to label them as our saviour the following week after scoring a goal or playing well.
Whilst it happens at every club, a section of Arsenal fans have highlighted their fickleness at times, especially with regards to their opinion of current boss Arsene Wenger.
Another player who has divided opinion in North London is Olivier Giroud. Whilst the Frenchman’s record for the Gunners is rather impressive, it seems that the striker can’t win with the fans at the Emirates.
But after the 29-year-old’s hat-trick against Olympiakos on Wednesday night, ensured Arsenal’s unlikely progression to the knockout stages of the Champions League, one Arsenal fan was quick to change his tune on the Frenchman.
Arsenal fan and TV personality Piers Morgan who just a few short weeks ago took to Twitter to launch an outspoken attack on Giroud and his inability to lead the line for the North London side, has quickly changed his tune, to become the striker’s biggest fan.
Take a look at Mr Morgan’s Tweet, and the abuse which followed below.
@piersmorgan roast him when he’s not scoring and up his ass when he scores 3 against a bang average team.. Nobhead
