With Arsene Wenger having signed on the dotted line yesterday, rubber-stamping his continuation at Arsenal for 3 more years, the Frenchman is now armed with a £100m ‘war chest’, according to the Daily Mail.
Lars Bender (Bayer Leverkusen), Morgan Schneiderlin (Southampton), and even Cesc Fabregas are on Wenger’s midfield wanted list, the Mail claim.
Up front, more serious advances would appear to be already being made, with the Mail claiming Arsenal have held initial talks with Real Madrid to sign Karim Benzema and/or Alvaro Morata.
Should said talks fail to develop, the Mail believe Mario Mandzukic and Loic Remy to be the next strikers on Wenger’s forward list of priorities.
The big question is though: just how will Arsene Wenger bring himself to part with £100m in the space of one transfer window?
