A pivotal night in the Austrian league season on Thursday saw Sturm Graz end Austria Vienna’s European hopes.
Austria Vienna had got into the break 1-up, but Darko Bodul swung the match in dramatic style after the interval with a match-changing brace. The match ended 3-1 to Graz.
Bodul’s equaliser was a beauty.
In the 67th minute a ball was chipped towards the edge of the Austria box, and Sturm striker Rubin Okotie was able to flick the ball onto his strike-partner Bodul. Bodul, then ignoring the fact that he was 10-yards from goal, flipped himself into an acrobatic overhead, and the result was pure gold.
