At the age of 32, Ronaldinho had one of his best seasons for some time in 2012 as an early move in the campaign from Flamengo to Atletico Mineiro worked wonders for the former PSG, Barcelona and AC Milan forward.
On Monday, Ronaldinho was awarded the Bola de Ouro for the best player in Brazil’s 2012 Campeonato Brasileiro championship, which is some feat considering how well the likes of Fred and Neymar played this year.
Predictably, following the return of Luiz Felipe Scolari as coach of Brazil, Ronaldinho expressed his interest in playing for the Seleção again.
Ronaldinho: ”I had the opportunity to win with Felipao and he is one of the best coaches around, if not the best. I wish him all the best and also make myself available to him.”
A glance at the 20 assists provided by Ronaldinho in 2012, for Flamengo and Atletico Mineiro should give Big Phil a nudge in the right direction!
