There was a lovely moment on the touchline at Stamford Bridge after Papiss Cisse bagged his second incredible goal to shoot down Chelsea.
After watching the Newcastle number 9 net his breathtaking reverse-banana golazo, Toon boss Alan Pardew couldn’t help but have a few words with Blues’ forward Didier Drogba who was just a few yards from the Magpies supremo.
“I said ‘come on Didier, you have to admire that’ and he just laughed,” revealed Pardew after the game. But that was only part of the moment.
After Cisse’s sublime screamer, Drogba looked as wide-eyed as any football fan. Thus, after hearing Pardew’s comments, the Ivorian hitman simply shook his head in disbelief before allowing himself a solitary clap of applause for one of the strikes of the season.
The Pardew-Drogba exchange left the Newcastle bench in stitches.
