Argentine starlet Luciano Vietto is attracting attention from some big European clubs since his summer move to Villarreal.
The former Racing Club striker has scored 16 goals in 31 appearances since moving to Europe and Liverpool reportedly ‘admire’ the 21 year old.
Attacking summer signings Rickie Lambert and Mario Balotelli have had far from their desired effect at Anfield thus far.
According to Vietto’s agent, Jorge Cysterpiller, Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has shown interest in the prodigal young frontman and a summer exit is possible.
Cysterpiller spoke after Vietto’s fine performance from the bench at the Santiago Bernabeu in which Villarreal secured a shock 1-1 draw, as reported by AS.
“We know that a lot of big clubs are watching Luciano Vietto. There is a lot of competition for him. He could sign for Liverpool, we know that he is admired by the Reds, as well as Real Madrid and two Bundesliga clubs. I think he could leave Villarreal in the summer.”
Having made his debut in Argentina under Diego Simeone, Spanish newspaper AS claim Vietto has a €10m release clause in his contract.
At that price, teams will be queueing up for his signature this summer with Real Madrid and Liverpool two already confirmed interested parties.
