There was a crazy scene in League Two on Saturday, as AFC Wimbledon drew 0-0 with Accrington Stanley.
Accrington thought they’d found the breakthrough on the stroke of halftime.
In a bizarre episode, Accrington had the ball in the AFC Wimbledon net, however the official chalked to 100% legal goal off the scorecard.
Why? Because seconds, or maybe that’s milliseconds before the ball crossed the line, the ref blew his whistle for the interval
Couldn’t he have waited three seconds longer before tooting?
