A terrible goal from 75-yards out: Aleksandr Kukanos (KamAZ) vs Metalurg Lypetsk

Pat Jennings has done it. Paul Robinson has done it. And now Aleksandr Kukanos (pictured) can add his name to that list.

Generally you would think that scoring a a goal from 75-yards out must be a truly fabulous effort. But the reality is that sometimes it is the result of a pure fluke aided by a large helping of useless goalkeeping who was found sleeping on the job.

And so it proved in the Russian second division at the weekend as KamAZ’s Aleksandr Kukanos launched a hopeful and aimless ball upfield, only for the defender to watch as his unlikely punt ended up in the back of the net.

Aleksandr Kukanos’ forgettable 75-yard goal can be seen here.
