In certain regions in Brazil, it can get rather wet even in the summer months and Caxias v Internacional went ahead due to the fact neither side would be able to replay the game any other time.
What ensued at the Estádio Francisco Stédile stadium was nothing short of a bit mental as perennial Spurs target Leandro Damiao showed when he bagged the opener and marked the goal with an obligatory sliding celebration (see second video below.)
The best moment of the match was a crazy goal mouth scramble that seemingly involved most of the outfield players midway through the first half.
Internacional eventually cleared. Somehow.
