Horrific playing conditions contributed to a brilliantly-bad miss in Vietnam on Sunday.
Binh Duon suffered a 2-nil home defeat at the hands of Khanh Hoa, and a turning point in the contest arrived when the hosts blew a golden opportunity to score in the 36th minute.
Trailing 1-nil at the time and playing on a pitch that looked more like a rice paddy that a top flight soccer surface, Binh Duong’s forward Nguyen Tang Tuan amazingly missed scoring into an open goal from 3 yards out.
Not only did Duong not score, the ball actually travelled away from goal as the striker ballsed-up his goalscoring moment in spectacular fashion.
