First things first: we’ve no idea of the name of the goalscorer at the centre of this video. If you do, please let us know in the comments below.
A clip from last week’s AFA Union Youth Tournament in Argentina has been gathering views after it recorded a sublime opportunist strike from an Orgaz player. But the action starts with River Plate.
After Orgaz had gone 1-up, River levelled the contest with a stunning free-kick that arched into the net from right to left. The golazo was celebrated furiously by the River team, including the team’s goalie – who made the strange decision to run 60-yards upfield to join in with his teammates.
Those celebrations would quickly come to haunt River Plate.
As the River players slowly dragged themselves back into their own half for the restart, one Orgaz player was formulating a plan to instantly regain the lead. Thus, at the first opportunity he could, the Orgaz player whacked the kick-off straight at the River goal, and brilliantly the ball sailed straight in the net.
2-1 and the match winner.
