Torino beat Reggina 2-nil on Friday night in Serie B, a result which kept the visitors in lowly 18th position in the division being their fourth defeat in five matches.
So bad is the crisis at Reggina that coach Walter Novellino was instantly dismissed after the match. And helping to final nail in Novellino’s coffin was former Manchester City striker Rolando Bianchi, who scored a spectacular second to put the result to bed.
After Belingheri fired the hosts ahead on the stroke of halftime, Bianchi netted the killer second in the 67th minute with an incredible overhead-volley from a corner. The goal was the forward’s ninth of the campaign and consolidates his Capocannoniere status with second-placed Torino.
