Scandinavian football continues to serve up a selection of gems as the summer drought continues in mainland Europe.
Last weekend in Norway, Stromsgodset travelled to Start Kristiansand in the Tippeligaen where the sides played out an exciting 2-all draw. However it was the first goal of the game, scored after only ten minutes, which we want to draw attention to.
With the Stromsgodset goalie lumping the ball upfield from a place-kick, the ball carried over the halfway-line before bouncing up invitingly for the visitors’ forward Mattias Andersson. And without a moment’s hesitation, and hit as clean as a whistle, the forward let rip with a beauty from over 25-yards.
The match finished 2-apiece.
Mattias Andersson’s super strike can be seen here.
