Saturday night in Argentina witnessed an incredibly cheeky goal in the match between Banfield and Independiente, which the visitors won 3-1.
Independiente took the lead midway through the first half when striker Andres Silvera scored, but Banfield equalised through Ruben Ramirez in the 36th minute. And then came the moment of the match, which was so fast that the cameraman missed it at first instance.
Having been pegged back, Independiente immediately went on the offensive from the kick-off. After the centre had been taken to re-start the match, the ball fell to midfielder Leandro Gracian who brilliantly hit a shot from the halfway-line that dipped under the bar with keeper Cristian Lucchetti stranded.
Striker Leonel Nunez hit the third in stoppage time to wrap up the win.
Leandro Gracian’s opportunistic 45-yard lob can be seen here.
