While most European leagues have returned to action in recent weeks, Finland and Russia remain two of the countries on official break as their league seasons run on a different timetable so as to avoid the harsh winter months.
As such, a host of friendly matches are played during this period, and on Monday night Finnish side FC Honka took on Russian outfit Krylya Sovetov, with a superb goal making the contest a match to remember.
Sadly, we only have limited information on the goalscorer, Joel Perovuo. At 23-years-old, Perovuo is a typically undistinguished footballer, a Finnish central midfielder, who has chalked up 56 career appearances for Honka and scored only four career goals to date. He has never represented his country.
While this may not sound like a footballer with anything great to offer, Perovuo managed to make a name for himself scoring a brilliant individual goal.
Beating five players in the build-up, Perovuo’s super solo can be seen here.
