As the Bundesliga gets ready to spring back to life this weekend, the third division in Germany has already produced some golden moments in the 2011/12 season.
On Tuesday, in just round two in the league, Preussen Munster picked up an excellent 2-1 win away at Chemnitzer FC. It took less than sixty seconds for the match to explode with a memorable golazo.
Moments after the kick-off a simple pass inside the Chemnitzer half saw the ball threaded to Munster’s right winger Benjamin Siegert. Nothing particularly looked goal-threatening when the pass to the touchline was made, but Siegert quickly changed that state of affairs.
After taking just one touch to control the ball, an eagle-eyed Siegert spotted the Chemnitzer keeper off his line. Then, with a Beckham-esque lob, the winger scored from over 45-yards out.
Staying on the topic of golazos, YouTuber Benharpas has begun releasing superb daily golazo round-up videos.
