Arsenal fans launch petition to ban Mike Dean from refereeing their games after Chelsea performance
Arsenal fans have started a petition Change.org in a bid to prevent Mike Dean from preventing any future Arsenal games.
Gooners are incensed with Dean following the ref’s dismal performance at Stamford Bridge on Saturday, in which he sent off two Arsenal players as Chelsea ran out 2-0 winners.
And ‘dismal’ really is a fair word to use, as even Chelsea fans can’t understand how Diego Costa was allowed to stay on the pitch.
The petition already has more than 10,00 signatures, and Gooners had real beef with Dean even before Saturday.
In 2012, Dean appeared to celebrate when Louis Saha scored for Spurs against Arsenal, raising his arm suspiciously as he blew to award the goal.
And the events which took place at the Bridge last Saturday only confirmed what Arsenal fans have long suspected: that he has something against the club.
