The Mirror today report that “Arsene Wenger is set to nick Chelsea’s highest-rated youngster in years. Frank Nouble, 17, came through the ranks at Stamford Bridge but turned down professional forms with the Blues as he fears he will not get any first-team opportunities.”
Despite looking like news-breakers the red-top is actually running several days behind the transfer grapevine as the link between Arsenal and Noble broke at the weekend.
Giving credit where it’s deserved, the Arsenal blog Young Guns detailed the rumour on Saturday reporting that “Frank is also known to be a fan of the youth system at Arsenal and is close friends with midfield maestro Jack Wilshere. However, Tottenham and Aston Villa have also been alerted and will offer serious competition should the Gunners make a bid.”
Ivorian born Nouble, a burly 6 foot 3 inches 17-year-old, is already a man-child on the field and is being touted as a rising star in the English game. Nouble’s combination of skill, strength and speed (allegedly the forward can run the 100-meters in just 10.9 seconds) has seen his burgeoning reputation mushroom in recent seasons as the striker has progressed in both the Chelsea youth academy and the Blues’ reserves.
Much like the difficulties facing Michael Mancienne, Nouble is said to be disillusioned with his chances of breaking into the Chelsea first-team anytime soon which has forced the forward to reassess his future at Stamford Bridge.
Video evidence of Frank Nouble’s goals in 2008/09 can be seen here.

This would be good for us and great for young Frank….he knows he will be given a big chance at Arsenal but would bench sit at Chelski. Whilst Abramovich is there Chelski will bring in ready made superstars ahead of any young player.

Spurs fan here and i agree w. GunnerPete. Arsenal is the best place for young talent. Chav-ski will buy ready made ’stars’ while Spurs buy young talent and, with the exception of Lennon, ruin them.
Good luck to the kid. If he is anywhere near Wiltshire the Gunner have a great prospect on thier hands.
