Two days later, and the anger against Thierry Henry for his handball the dumped Ireland out the World Cup only appears to be intensifying.
Perhaps the bitterest, rawest emotions, which will sum up the mood for many, can be seen in a video made by an unnamed Irish fan immediately after the full-time whistle on Wednesday night. Although teaming with swear words, this Irish fan accurately calls out Henry for his cheating handball and expresses his disappointment in what it means for Ireland to have missed out on the big event in SOuith Africa.
The video can be seen here.
Next, ex-French pro and arguably the footballer with the best hair in the business, David Ginola, was interviewed by CNN to give his verdict on the Henry handball. Opting to blame the match officials rather than Henry himself for having failed to spot the incident, Ginola discussed his tarnished joy as a Frenchman in seeing Les Bleus qualify in such a manner for the World Cup.
David Ginola’s thoughts can be seen here.
Lastly, the loudmouths at RTE - Johnny Giles, Graeme Souness and Eamon Dunphy - began to look forward to the European Championship, wondering how Ireland with change their tactics for future tournaments. Dunphy boasted that “a lot of lesson should have been learned from tonight” with the talking-heads generally agreeing that Ireland are good enough to be represented at the big competitions.
The RTE analysis can be seen here.

Again 101gg, you’ve let yourselves down.
How can you post this idiot burning an image of Henry and ranting on like a moron.
You should have more class than to be associated with this tripe.
Apart from what happened in Stade de France, you should not be giving this fool a platform to spout his crap.
