3rd placed Real Madrid visit Levante with a few injury problems. Gonzalo Higuain has been ruled out for a month and fellow striker Karim Benzema is also a doubt.

Currently sitting eight points behind Barcelona, 3 points is a must for Mourinho in this difficult fixture. In this fixture last season Levante pulled off a shock 1-0 win and the season before they held Madrid to a 0-0.

Jose Callejon will likely lead the line for Real Madrid in a match of great importance. In good form in the league, Madrid will be looking to forget their 2-2 draw at home to Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Levante currently are sitting pretty in sixth. Their defence have conceded just two in their last seven games, one in their last four league games.

The defence will be key if Levante are to get anything from this game. Keeping Cristiano Ronaldo quiet is nigh on impossible.

At the other end former Newcastle United striker Obafemi Martins is their main goal threat. No goals in their last three competitive fixtures is unlikely to have Pepe & Co. quaking in their boots.

Live football streaming: Watch Mallorca v Barcelona in La Liga

Barcelona have picked up 28 points from 30 so far this season but were subject to a shock midweek 2-1 defeat by Celtic.

Gerard Pique should return from injury this weekend to bolster the leaky defence. In their last 3 visits to Mallorca, Barca have picked up 9 points without conceding a single goal.

Superstar Lionel Messi is the obvious Barca threat. With an unbelievable goal tally, the new father will be looking to score a couple against a team that conceded five to Real Madrid.

Mallorca have fallen apart following a strong start to the campaign. Five losses in a row have sent Mallorca tumbling down to 13th in the table.

A distinct lack of confidence will have to be fixed by Sunday as they are up against a team who average more than 3 goals a game.

Two Israelis would be key to any kind of result for Mallorca. In goal Dudu Aouate will need to produce a performance similar to Fraser Forster of Celtic. Up front Tomer Hemed has bagged 6 goals this season and is the main threat to a fragile Barcelona back-line.

We can only really see this game going one way, as Barca look to bounce back.

Celtic host St Johnstone on Sunday, days after one of their most memorable victories in European football. After beating the best team in the world, Barcelona, they have a slightly less glamorous clash against St Johnstone.

Celtic come into this game after picking up 1 point from their last 6 in the league. However, in between those two matches they handed their opposition, St Johnstone a 5-0 thrashing in the cup.

18 year old Anthony Watt is pushing for a start after his fine finish against Victor Valdes. Gary Hooper and captain Scott Brown have both been ruled out through injury.

St Johnstone are one of two sides in the league to beat Celtic this season, beating them 2-1 at home in September. Saints manager Steve Lomas will be hoping his side can do what Celtic did to Barcelona.

Craig Beattie and Jamie Adams won’t be fit in time for a squad, that in recent weeks has looked awfully depleted.

Striker Nigel Hasselbaink will be looking to add to his tally in a fierce stadium with an even fiercer atmosphere.

Cristiano Ronaldo talks about battling Messi for the Balon d’Or: “Maybe sometimes, I agree that I have a bad image”

CNN have prised another interview scoop with Real Madrid and Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo .

In a series of on-screen interviews between Pedro Pinto and Ronaldo the pair have already discussed Crstiano’s belief that he is better than Lionel Messi. Now that conversation was taken further through a discussion about the upcoming Balon d’Or award.

Pinto, asking some tough questions, asked Ronaldo if his arrogant image has cost him in the battle for love from football fans against Lionel Messi. Ronaldo gave an honest reply.

I don’t want to cry about it, but sometimes I think yes. It’s a question to which I never give the 100% right answer, because sometimes I really don’t know. I don’t think it’s allowed for people to change my personality. Maybe sometimes, I agree that I have a bad image on the pitch because I’m too serious.

DC United knock the New York Red Bulls out of MLS Cup

New York Red Bulls 0 – DC United 1 (Agg. 1-2) (MLS Eastern Conference semifinals, November 8, 2012) The Red Bulls appeared poised to take the lead in the 69th when they were awarded a penalty in an incident that saw DC United keeper Bill Hamid get sent off, but Kenny Cooper was forced to take a retaken penalty and amazingly DC backup goalie Joe Willis made a crucial save on the second attempt. The Red Bulls had a man-advantage until the 75th when Red Bulls defender Rafa Marquez was ejected after receiving his second yellow card. The match then had a late twist as Nick DeLeon scored in the 88th minute to earn the visitors the win.
