Tottenham 3 - Wigan 1 (FA Cup, January 2, 2009) (Longer highlights here.) After a goalless first half, Spurs took the lead when Richard Kingson fouled Fraizer Campbell in the box and Roman Pavlyuchenko slotted home the spot-kick. The Lilywhites double their advantage when Jamie O’Hara’s sweet left-footed shot rebounded off the post and Luka Modric, prostrate on the floor, was perfectly placed to head in the rebound. Henri Camara scored a late consolation for the Latics but a free-flowing Spurs counter-attack ended with Roman Pavlyuchenko scoring a third and confirming Spurs progress to the fourth round.
