The BBC & Sky report on Steven Gerrard’s arrest

Monday, December 29th, 2008

By now we expect that most people have heard that Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard was arrested early Monday morning after a fight broke out in a bar in Southport.

Gerrard is without doubt one of those footballers who you would never think would be associated with such headlines. The clean-cut Scouser has acted as a positive role model and ambassador for the sport, and being associated with such a story will damage the Liverpool captain’s image and reputation.

A BBC report into the incident can be seen here.

A Sky News report into the incident can be seen here.
