Some troublemakers have suggested that Robinho had never even heard of Manchester City until they flashed their newly stocked cheque book in the Brazilian’s face. After that it became a lot easier to get Robinho’s focus.
But just a few days later, back in his comfort zone training with the Brazilian national squad, Robinho fluffed his lines at a press conference to talk about his excitement at joining Chelsea.

Three days of closed-doors negotiations failed to convince Kevin Keegan to stay on as Newcastle manager, with the Messiah finally deciding on Thursday evening to walk out on the Geordies for the second time in his career.
The fans, who will always have a place for King Kev in their hearts, directed their anger at Mike Ashley and the Newcastle management, managing to break into the club’s premises to make their feelings known.
