Emanuel Pogatetz: The “Mad Dog” has previous

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008

Emanuel Pogatetz has woken up this Wednesday as public enemy number one in Manchester after his poor challenge on Rodrigo Possebon, which latest reports have confirmed thankfully did not break the young upstart’s leg.

A close up of the tackle can be seen here (1.20 secs in).

At this junction we felt it necessary to recall some of “Mad Dog’s” previous darker moments in football, giving credence to all those wishing to build up a case against the Boro defender as being a reckless, wild bone-crusher.

Firstly there was the wonderful moment during the Austria-Germany clash at Euro 2008 where Pogatetz sunk his teeth into the ball to release his suppressed anger in a highly visible fashion. But for more evidence of Pogatetz’s poor form in the tackle, have regard to this shocking challenge from 2005 during his loan spell at Spartak Moscow.

amazing how the cunt acts like hes done nothing wrong

True the challenge in Russia was terrible but considering you\\\\\\\’ve only got footage of him biting a ball, doesnt really show him to be a dirty a player.

Sure he\\\\\\\’s a little made but the challenge on Possebon was just a bad follow through, he did get the ball first and he did play the ball!

  5. warsamemo Says:

wow, exaggeration at its best. and I am not a boro\’ fan.

  6. Mayo Says:

Typical Manchester bias once again. He got the ball, the follow through is what caught Possebon. There was no malicious intent. This post is ridiculous. You play him out to be a reckless defender, but you only give us one example of a tackle. Biting the ball? Really? That\\\’s all you could find?

Get a life, if Vidic broke someone\\\’s leg you\\\’d be doing nothing but defending his honor because he plays for your beloved Red Devils.

as neither a manure or boro fan, i’ll put in my unbiased opinion

this is a horrendous tackle and he should be fined and banned for 3-4 games. he may have gotten the ball but the tackle was horrible theres no excuse, were all in favor or hard tackling but thats just over the line. he really could have ended possebon’s career which such a shocking tackle

  8. Ahmed Says:

He got the ball first…Kevin Davies did the same thing to Cliche on the weekend. Cliche did end up going to the Hospital, I dont see anyone crying bout it. Get over it and move on. Bad tackles happen in football everyday.

  9. Mayo Says:

Ahmed, that’s because Clichy doesn’t play for ManUre.

  10. Gaff Says:

Pogatetz did nothing wrong…shame it was not Ronaldo though!
