USA win gold in women’s football at the Beijing Olympics

Brazil 0 - USA 1 (Women’s Olympics, August 21, 2008) Carli Loyd grabbed the winning goal six minutes into extra time to give USA the Olympic gold in women’s football after they had nulified the threat of the Brazilians for much of the game.
