Keko stars as Spain are U17 Euro Champions
France 0 - Spain 4 (European U17 Championship Final, May 16, 2008) The Spanish dominated the final from start to finish, to win the tournament for the second consecutive year. Atletico Madrid’s Keko, a clone of Gaizka Mendieta, notched the opener with a fine finish from a tight angle. Sergio added a second soon after the restart, and Barcelona’s Thiago made it three from the spot. The brilliant Keko then set up the final goal after great work down the right, floating a ball into Manu who headed home number four. (Post match celebrations here.)
