Top five goals of the week

The goals scored by Ryan Giggs and Danny Murphy yesterday may have been more valuable but the following list of goals are definitely aesthetically pleasing. Enjoy!

1. Rodrigo Palacio (v Cruzeiro, May 7, 2008)

2. Cuauhtemoc Blanco (v DC United, May 8, 2008)

3. Edin Dzeko (v Stuttgart, May 10, 2008)

4. Julien Toudic (v Strasbourg, May 10, 2008)

5. Antonio Cassano (v Palermo, May 11, 2008)

The goals in the “close but no cigar” category this week include those scored by Yannick Boli, Valentin Stocker, Mihai Tararache, Borja Valero and Robinho.

(The internet police accounted for the goals scored by Bristol City pair David Noble and Louis Carey.)

WHAT THE HELL ?!?!?! THE ABOVE IS RIGHT! GET THEM ON NOW!

My thoughts exactly. Rochemback\\\’s was a carbon copy of Cassano\\\’s freekick and yet it doesnt even get in the \\\’Almost\\\’ section, strange. Still, both are good goals though.

What about Stade Rennais´Pagis who scored with a great backheel against Toulouse on Saturday, this is actually the second time Stade Rennais gets overlooked, J. Leroy scored the most amazing chip I have seen in years a few weeks back…

  6. Le Bob Says:

Would’ve included Edgar Barreto’s goal for Reggina v Empoli too, but fair enough. Many good goals that week.
