Amiens 0 - PSG 1 (Coupe De France, May 6, 2008) Despite their poor league form PSG bagged their second domestic cup final appearance of the season after seeing off the second division side. Yannick Boli scored the only goal with a great run and finish.

Spartak Moscow 4 - Shinnik Yaroslavl 2 (Russian Premier Liga, May 6, 2008) Monarev fired the away side into the lead but three minutes later Mozart equalised from the penalty spot. An og from Silv put Spartak in front before the same player equalised to make it 2-2. Late goals from Welliton and Pavlyuchenko gave Spartak the win by which time Shinnik Yaroslavl were down to nine men.

Fluminense 1 - Atletico Nacional 0 (Agg. 3-1) (Copa Libertadores, May 6, 2008) Flu eased past the Colombians thanks to a second-half header from defender Roger. The Brazilian side had previously never reached the quarter-finals before.

Estudiantes 2 - LDU Quito 1 (Agg. 2-3) (Copa Libertadores, May 6, 2008) (Longer highlights here.) Luis Bolanos gave the side from Ecuador the lead and the Argentineans had a mountain to climb, they did pull goals back through Alayes and Maggiolo but it was in vain. Their furstration boiled over towards the end of the match and Enzo Perez was sent-off for pinching the nose of LDU forward Joffre Guerron (0.40 into this video).

Atlas 2 - Lanus 2 (Agg. 3-2) (Copa Libertadores, May 6, 2008) A poor night for Argentinean teams was capped by Lanus’ exit from the competition. Atlas twice took the lead with goals from Marioni and Mendivil whilst Sand and Acosta scored for Lanus.
