The goal was scored by Zoltan Gera in the second half, after excellent work from Kevin Phillips had teed the Hungarian up for the finish.
Barnsley 1 - Hull 3 (Championship, April 15, 2008) The Tykes recent good form came crashing to an end as they met Hull, who moved into second in the table on the back of this win. Dean Marney scored a penalty before Ashbee extended their lead with a header. Substitute Dean Windass then struck with his first touch to put the Tigers out of reach. Istvan Ferenczi pulled a goal back for Barnsley.
