Valencia down Barca to grab a place in the Copa Del Rey final
Valencia 3 - Barcelona 2 (Agg. 4-3) (Copa Del Rey, March 20, 2008) Ruben Baraja gave Valencia the lead on seventeen minutes with a goal of the highest quality - a stunning strike. And a minute before half-time Juan Mata doubled the lead. With eighteen minutes to go substitute Thierry Henry gave Barca some hope with a rare headed goal only for Valencia to regain their two-goal lead a minute later with the second for Mata. And with ten minutes to go Samuel Eto’o pulled a goal back after a one-two with Iniesta but it was in vain as the home side booked a final place against Getafe.

Eintracht Frankfurt 2 - Energie Cottbus 1 (Bundesliga, March 20, 2008) Frankfurt continue their push for a UEFA Cup place as Cairo and Russ cancelled out the Cottbus opener from Rost (shocking goalkeeping) at the start of the second-half.

Fortaleza 1 - Corinthians 2 (Copa do Brasil, March 20, 2008) Simao opened the scoring for Fortaleza but after William equalised two minutes later Acosta completed Corinthians’ win in the second half.
Nacional-AM 2 - Atletico-MG 2 (Copa do Brasil, March 20, 2008) In a ding-dong battle, Atletico took the lead through Araujo’s low drive, only to be tied at the break after Garanha equalised. Garanha then bagged a fabulous second, volleying a long through ball which came down over his shoulder. Atletico hit back with a 90th minute Almeida header.
Chapecoense-SC 0 - Internacional 2 (Copa do Brasil, March 20, 2008)
Bragantino 2 - Vasco Da Gama 2 (Copa do Brasil, March 20, 2008) Bill opened the scoring for Bragantino after 9 minutes but Eduardo equalised for the visitors before half-time. Calisto put Vasco ahead for the first time, but substitute Nunes levelled after five minutes from time.

Luqueno 1 - Sao Paulo 1 (Copa Libertadores, March 20, 2008) Sao Paulo went ahead when Aloisio headed home in the second-half, but Luqueno snatched an equaliser in the second minute of injury-time when seventeen-year-old Duarte scored with a swerving shot which found its way into the corner of the net.
Colo Colo 2 - Boca Juniors 0 (Copa Libertadores, March 20, 2008) (Longer highlights here.) In the meeting between two of the powerhouses of South American football, first-half goals by Jorquera (arrowed strike into the corner) and Biscayzacu (free back-post header) gave Colo Colo an impressive win over Boca. Fierro also missed a penalty for the Chileans while Barrios and Rodriguez were sent-off for fighting.
Deportivo Cuenca 1 - Lanus 1 (Copa Libertadores, March 20, 2008) Salomon scored with a deflected shot to give Lanus an 8th minute lead, Garcia equalised with a 70th minute free-kick which found its way through the Lanus wall.

USA 3 - Canada 0 (Olympic Qualifier, March 20, 2008) The United States qualified for the Beijing Olympics thanks to two free-kicks from Freddy Adu (the second was a beauty) and a third from Sacha Kljestan.
