Will he do the Argentine tango?
Mauricio Pochettino has made a celebration promise if Tottenham manage to win the title this season. Badgered into answering the question by journalists at his press conference, the coach responded to suggestions.
One suggestion was that he could dance on the pitch with chairman Daniel Levy. Perhaps the Argentine tango. Pochettino, chirpy as ever after beating Chelsea in midweek, obliged to go along with the headline.
He’ll do anything for that title
He didn’t give a solid soundbite but agreed with the hungry reporter: “Yes, maybe we try. Why not? If we win the Premier League, I will do anything. We are in a good position – third in the table after 20 games. Sometimes in the big games, you might not play your best, but you need always to be competitive.
“Maybe that is what we missed last season when we were challenging Leicester for the title, so the Chelsea game was a big statement and a big step forward. If we can keep that mentality, we will always be close to winning games.
“The physical demand is massive but so is the mental one.”
Spurs are seven points off leaders Chelsea after that win.
