Eto’o to Hull?
The January transfer window opened in earnest yesterday, and that means we’ll be treated to constant transfer rumours for the next month.
It’s a mid-season window that allows clubs to strenghten in their weak areas, but it’s the bane of many managers, most of whom would rather it’s done away with.
But for all its drawbacks, it can be entertaining. Who doesn’t find Samuel Eto’o being linked to Hull City funny?
Phelan’s brilliant reaction
The 35-year-old Barcelona legend plies his trader in the Turkish league these days with Antalyaspor.
Were he to return to the Premier League at this stage of his career – and to Hull – it would be pretty remarkable. But then again, if Zlatan can do it…
Hull boss Mike Phelan was asked about the link at his post-match interview today, and his response was brilliant:
“Can Samuel defend corners?” Phelan said. “I haven’t heard anything, but it would be an unbelievable challenge if Samuel Eto’o wanted to come to Hull City.
“But that’s the least of my worries. We have to look to improve in certain situations. Every position at this moment is up for grabs.
